The
Jorge Oterro Barreto Homeless Veterans Transitional Program
located at 52 Maple Court in Springfield is open to homeless
veterans to assist them in the transition from their current
situation back into mainstream society.
The
Program houses twelve (12) veterans offering counseling, DVA
services from the Western Mass Bi-Lingual Veterans Outreach
Center, assistance in obtaining Chapter 115 financial
assistance, AA/NA meetings and Christian Rehabilitation
Substance Abuse meetings.
This
sober program that assists veterans during their time of
need. This program is available for any veteran honorably
discharged that meets the criteria and is in need. Veterans

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a
veteran (DD-214 Required) Honorably Discharged

CORI is
required
-
Must be
employed (at least $100.00 per week) or Chapter
115 ready
-
No open cases
or probation
-
Must have 30
days sobriety and a willingness to participate
in counseling and substance abuse meetings
-
Must have a
strong desire to rehabilitate and transition
back into mainstream society
